1 Killed, 1 Injured in Denton County, TX, Accident on I-35E

Denton County, TX -- March 17, 2017, one person was killed and another was injured after an accident where two cars crashed on I-35E.

According to reports released by investigating police, the accident happened just before 9:00 p.m. near the Lake Lewisville Bridge.

Reports from multiple police departments are still vague at this time. Two vehicles were driving in the northbound lanes of I-35E when they somehow collided. The crash was severe enough that one of the vehicles became engulfed in flames.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the vehicle which caught fire died at the scene. The other driver was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

Currently, the cause of the accident has not bee reported. Authorities say the accident is still under investigation.
