One Hurt in Truck Accident on Sam Rayburn Tollway in Plano, TX

Plano, TX -- A truck collision in the area of Plano, TX left one unidentified person with undisclosed injuries around 10 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017.

The incident reportedly happened on the Sam Rayburn Tollway near Coit Road.

It appears the truck collided with a disabled vehicle.

Local officials say a Volvo northbound on the Sam Rayburn Tollway experienced a blowout. The vehicle then collided with a concrete barrier. The driver of the vehicle and a passerby took the time to push the Volvo to the shoulder when a semi-truck started to barrel down on the vehicle. The two pedestrians spotted the truck and were able to move out of the way.

The northbound big rig crashed into the Volvo, struck a concrete barrier, coming to rest on the left southbound lane.

The driver of the semi-truck was left with non-life threatening injuries.

The official investigation into the crash is currently underway.
