Dasheer Cruickshank Killed, Ramon Mercado Hurt in Accident in Upper Bern Twp., PA

Upper Bern Township, PA -- A two-vehicle collision between an SUV and a 18-wheeler claimed the life of 22-year-old Dasheer Cruikshank and left 18-year-old Ramon Mercado Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

According to the reports, the SUV was traveling along Interstate 78 when the incident happened. The SUV for reasons unclear veered out of control, colliding with the rear of a parked semi-truck.

Mr. Cruikshank, a passenger in the SUV, was killed at the scene of the incident.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, Mr. Mercado, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Local officials are currently examining the details of the incident with the hopes of determining the cause.

The preliminary press release provided no further information regarding the deadly crash.
