Man Killed in Battle Creek, MI, Truck Accident on Bellevue

Battle Creek, MI -- March 10, 2017, one person was killed following an accident in which his vehicle collided with a truck on Bellevue Road.

Battle Creek Police investigators reported that the accident occurred around 1:00 p.m. near the intersection of Bellevue Road and Pine Lake Road.

Their preliminary investigations indicate that 21-year-old man, whose identity wasn't released, was traveling eastbound on Bellevue. For reasons that aren't entirely clear, the SUV crashed into the back of a UPS truck that was turning into a driveway.

The man driving the SUV was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital for treatment, where he later died. The driver of the delivery truck was not injured.

Authorities have not indicated what might have caused the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
