Two Injured in Laredo, TX, Car Accident on Del Mar Blvd.

Laredo, TX -- March 14, 2017, two people sustained injuries as the result of an accident where their vehicles crashed on Del Mar Boulevard.

Emergency services were called out to the scene of the two-vehicle accident at about 11:30 a.m. Officials say the collision occurred at the intersection of Del Mar Boulevard and Springfield Avenue, just east of I-35.

According to preliminary police reports, a white van and a silver, two-door car were traveling through the intersection. For reasons that aren't clear, they crossed paths with each and collided nearly head-on.

As a result of the collision, both drivers suffered unspecified injuries. They were both taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police did not say if any charges or citations were filed after the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
