Kyree Javar Blanford Hurt in Accident in Fairfield, CT

Fairfield, CT -- A crash in the area of Fairfield, CT left 26-year-old Kyree Javar Blanford with serious injuries Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 95 around 1:15 a.m.

The report claims the nine vehicle incident involved three semi-trucks. The vehicle operated by the injured victim allegedly crashed into a light pole in the incident. The light pole then fell and lay across three northbound lanes of traffic. Mr. Blanford was reportedly trapped beneath a box truck, but was extricated by rescue units. The collision sent Mr. Blanford to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
