Two Injured in Freeman Twp., MI, School Bus/Semi Accident on M-115

Freeman Township, MI -- March 13, 2017, two students were injured following an accident where a school bus and an 18-wheeler crashed on State Highway 115.

Authorities from Clara County Police responded to the accident scene just before 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Michigan Highway 115 and Cedar Road.

Their preliminary investigations reveal that a Farwell school bus was northbound on Cedar transporting students. It stopped at the Highway 115 intersection before proceeding onto the highway. As a result, the bus crossed paths with an oncoming tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on the highway. The two vehicles collided.

Reports say that there were 14 students on the bus at the time, but only two were transported to a hospital. Both were taken to Clare Hospital with injuries said to be non-life-threatening. The truck driver wasn't injured.

Authorities did not report any citations being filed. No additional information is currently available.
