Malachi Batty Killed in Accident in Grants Pass, OR

Grants Pass, OR -- A collision between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian claimed the life of 15-year-old Malachi Batty Friday, March 10, 2017.

The incident happened at Redwood Avenue.

According to the report, Malachi Batty was walking along Redwood when a vehicle jumped the curb, striking him. Allegedly, the vehicle then drug the boy through the intersection.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the boy, 21-year-old Christopher Faibish, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to the crash.

The official investigation is currently underway and may reveal more details as it unfolds.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of the release.
