2 Injured in San Antonio, TX, Head-on Accident on Culebra Rd.

San Antonio, TX -- March 13, 2017, two people sustained injuries after an accident where their vehicles crashed head-on along Culebra Road.

Preliminary accident reports given by the San Antonio Police Department indicated that the wreck occurred around 2:00 p.m. near the intersection of Culebra Road and Joe Newton Street.

Police say that a red pickup was stopped on Culebra at the time, though it's unclear why. A gold pickup reportedly swerved across several traffic lanes after the vehicle somehow lost control. This caused it to crash head-on into the red pickup.

Investigators say that after the crash, both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were both taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

No charges or citations were filed immediately after the crash. Authorities say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Investigations are ongoing.
