Curtis Allen Bartlett Killed in Accident at Route 58 & Interstate 77 in Carroll County, VA

Carroll County, VA -- A crash in Carroll County, VA took the life of 32-year-old Sheriff's Office Deputy Curtis Allen Bartlett Thursday, March 9, 2017.

The incident took place at Route 58 and Interstate 77 around 10 p.m.

According to the reports, the victim was on the call to assist another deputy in a pursuit. The victim was headed west on 58 when the vehicle collided with a semi-truck. The 32-year-old Sheriff's Deputy was killed at the scene of the incident. The report made no mention of other injuries in the crash.

The official investigation into the incident is currently underway and may reveal more details as it unfolds.

The exact cause of Mr. Bartlett's death has not been determined.
