Houston, TX: One Killed in Hit-And-Run Accident on Southwest Freeway

Houston, TX -- A hit-and-run crash in the area of Houston, TX claimed the life of one unidentified person Sunday, March 12, 2017.

The incident took place on the Southwest Freeway around 1 a.m.

Police say the incident happened on the southbound side of the freeway. The details of the incident are sparse, but it appears the man was struck by two vehicles. The victim was initially struck by a white SUV then was struck a second time by a wrecker.

Both drivers stayed at the scene of the incident.

The exact cause of the collisions had yet to be determined at the time of the incident.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.

The preliminary press release provided no further information regarding the collision.
