Gianni Guzman Ruano Killed, Abel Castillo Hurt in Accident in Ave Maria, FL

Ave Maria, FL -- A crash between a passenger car and a semi-truck claimed the life of 42-year-old Gianni Guzman Ruano and left Abel Castillo hurt in the area of Ave Maria, FL Thursday, March 9, 2017.

The incident took place at Oil Well Park Road around 6 p.m.

According to reports, the pickup truck occupied by the deceased victim collided with the big rig. The exact cause of the incident is unclear. The driver of the passenger vehicle, Gianni Guzman Ruano, was killed at the scene of the collision. The 66-year-old driver of the semi, Abel Castillo, was left with minor injuries.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
