Dasavor Rodrigues, Shawn Falk Killed, Schauntel Niehoff, Dru McMahon Injured in Norfolk, NE, Accident

Norfolk, NE -- March 5, 2017, Dasavor Rodrigues and Shawn Falk were killed, Schauntel Niehoff and Dru McMahon injured, following a rollover accident.

Authorities from the Madison County Sheriff's Department were called to the single-vehicle accident scene in the early morning hours of Sunday. The incident happened along US 81 about 2 miles south of town.

According to preliminary investigations, the four teenagers were call in a vehicle that was traveling down the highway when the car suddenly lost control. It swerved off the side of the road eventually overturned repeatedly. Investigators say that all four occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

As a result of the accident, 18-year-old Rodrigues and 17-year-old Falk were pronounced dead at the scene. 18-year-old Niehoff and 18-year-old McMahon were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries said to be life-threatening.

Authorities have not yet determined what cause the accident to occur. They say the crash remains under investigation.
