4 Injured in Bryan Co., GA, School Bus Accident on Belfast-Keller

Bryan County, GA -- March 9, 2017, four students were injured due to an accident in which a school bus and a pickup crashed on Belfast-Keller Road.

Bryan County Sheriff's Deputies were called out to investigate the two-vehicle accident scene. Authorities say it happened in afternoon hours at the intersection of Belfast-Keller Road and Belfast River Road.

Police reports indicate that a Bryan County school bus was transporting Richmond Hill Middle School students after the school day when the bus somehow crossed paths with an oncoming pickup. The two vehicles then collided, sending them both off-road.

As a result of the collision, authorities say that four students were sent to a local hospital, two via ambulance and two via private car. Their exact conditions were not given.

Police did not say if any charges or citations were filed following the collision. No further information is currently available.
