One Injured in Atlanta, GA, 18-wheeler Accident at I-20 & Fulton

Atlanta, GA -- February 26, 2017, one person was seriously injured following an accident where a car and an 18-wheeler crashed on I-20.

According to preliminary reports, the accident happened along eastbound lanes of I-20 near the Fulton Industrial Boulevard intersection.

Reports indicate that Fulton County authorities were at the scene dealing with a previous accident. In the traffic, a car and an 18-wheeler somehow collided. Officers on the scene rushed to the aid of the drivers, and they were able to get both people to safety as the car caught fire.

The driver of the car reportedly sustained critical injuries. That person was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. The truck driver refused treatment.

At this time, authorities have not specified how the collision occurred. No additional details have been reported.
