Alexis Jansen Killed, One Hurt in Accident in Clearcreek Twp, OH

Clearcreek Township, OH -- A crash in Clearcreek, Ohio took the life of 16-year-old Springboro High School student Alexis Jansen and left her mother with injuries Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

According to police, Ms. Jansen was traveling near the intersection of Bunnell Hill Road and OH-48 where the incident happened. The details of the incident are unclear, but it appeared the SUV occupied by the victims collided with a tow truck.

Alexis Jansen, the driver of the SUV, was killed at the scene of the incident.

Her mother, a passenger in the SUV, was taken to a nearby hospital. She was last listed in critical condition.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing and further information may become known at its conclusion.
