John Robert Lano Killed in Accident on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg, SC

Spartanburg, SC -- A crash in the area of Spartanburg, SC claimed the life of 39-year-old John Robert Lano around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 85.

According to police, Mr. Lano was changing a tire when the incident took place. Officials say when the man stood up, he stumbled into the roadway, and was struck by a tractor-trailer. The report made mention of other injuries in the collision.

Mr. Lano was killed at the scene of the incident.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
