Joseph Lee Taylor Sheeley Killed in Accident in Louisville, KY

Louisville, KY -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Louisville, KY left 16-year-old Joseph Lee Taylor Sheeley dead Saturday, March 4, 2017.

According to Kentucky State Police, the 16-year-old victim was traveling northwest around 9:21 p.m. when the incident happened. It appears Joseph Sheeley's vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a mailbox, and rolled into a concrete driveway. The vehicle then flipped over, throwing the victim from the vehicle.

Mr. Sheeley was taken to a local hospital, but succumbed a short time later to multiple blunt force injuries.

At the time of the report, police had yet to determine the cause of the incident.

The official investigation into the crash is currently underway.
