Kenneth J. Wimer Killed, Michelle A. Gilbert Injured in Accident in Columbia, MO

Columbia, MO -- A crash in the area of Columbia, MO took the life of 58-year-old Kenneth J. Wilmer and left 33-year-old Michelle A. Gilbert Saturday, March 4, 2017.

The incident took place near 1000 Old 63 around 2:19 p.m.

According to the report, a vehicle occupied by Ms. Gilbert was northbound on Old 63 when it crashed into the vehicle occupied by Mr. Wilmer. Mr. Wilmer was taken to a local hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.

Ms. Gilbert was hospitalized with moderate but non-life threatening injuries.

The exact cause of the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
