Two-Vehicle Collision Kills One on Interstate 96 Cascade Twp., MI

Kent County, MI -- A two-vehicle collision in the area of Cascade Township, MI took the life of one person Friday, March 3, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 96 close to M-6.

Michigan State Police claim the collision happened westbound on 96. Though the details of the crash are sparse, it appears an SUV struck the rear-end of a four-door sedan. Following the initial collision, both vehicles lost control, causing the SUV to roll over.

The driver of the SUV, a 53-year-old resident of Lowell, was taken to a local hospital. She succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

Further information, including the identity of the deceased victim, may be forthcoming pending the investigation.
