Corrina Brown Killed, Shanice Bostic, Chisa Ayton Injured in Roanoke, VA, Truck Accident
Roanoke, VA -- March 3, 2017, Corrina Brown was killed, Shanice Bostic and Chisa Ayton were injured, due to an accident between a van and an 18-wheeler.
Authorities from the Roanoke Police Department responded to the two-vehicle accident scene at around 6:30 p.m. The crash happened at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Plantation Road.
Authorities have not released many details surrounding the crash. Their reports have stated only that a collision occurred at the intersection between an 18-wheeler and a minivan driven by 23-year-old Bostic.
Due to the collision, all three passengers of the van, 16-year-old Brown, 24-year-old Ayton, and Bostic, were taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. Brown's injuries proved fatal, and she died at approximately 7:07 p.m.
There were no charges or citations reported after the crash. Police have yet to indicate what caused the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
