Allison Seggebruch Killed in Crescent City, IL, Truck Accident

Crescent City, IL -- March 3, 2017, Allison Seggebruch was killed after an accident where he vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on the highway.

Iroquois County emergency responders were called out to the accident scene at around noon along State Highway 49.

According to preliminary police investigations, 19-year-old was driving a Hyundai car southbound on the highway. Investigators claim that she attempted to pass an 18-wheeler by crossing the yellow line, putting her in the path of another oncoming 18-wheeler in northbound lanes. This resulted in a head-on collision.

The crash was severe enough that Seggebruch was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Police did not mention any particular factors contributing to the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
