One Injured in El Paso, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident on Joe Battle

El Paso, TX -- March 7, 2017, one person sustained injuries as the result of an accident in which their pickup lost control on Joe Battle and crashed.

According to preliminary accident reports released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. near the intersection of Joe Battle Boulevard and Bob Hope Drive.

Initial police investigations did not release many specific details on the crash. It appears that a pickup was traveling along Joe Battle with one occupant. For reasons unclear, the pickup lost control and veered off the side of the road. It eventually collided with the concrete base of Highway 375.

The driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Investigators have not yet determined what factors caused the accident.

Investigations are ongoing.
