One Hurt in Accident on Highway 77 in Odem, TX

Odem, TX -- An unidentified woman was injured in an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer in the area of Odem, TX Tuesday, March 7, 2016.

The incident took place on Highway 77 around 7:30 a.m.

It looks like the woman was driving an SUV across the highway when her vehicle was struck by a semi-truck. According to the report, the semi struck the driver's side of the SUV. The occupant of the big rig was uninjured in the incident. The driver of the SUV, the unidentified woman, was left with undisclosed injuries.

The incident left a portion of 77 closed for several hours.

The cause of the incident has not been determined by authorities.

The official investigation is currently underway.
