One Injured in Accident at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, TX

Austin, TX -- A crash involving a stolen vehicle in the area of Austin, TX left one person with injuries around 5:35 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017.

The incident took place at University Medical Center Brackenridge at 601 E. 15th Street.

It appears the incident took place as a stolen vehicle crashed into a retaining wall at the emergency room of the medical center. The suspect in the incident was left with minor injuries in the crash, according to police. The injured driver was later taken into custody. The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident. The injured driver's identity had yet to be disclosed.

The official investigation into the incident is currently underway and may reveal more details as it concludes.
