One Killed, Two Hurt in Accident in Elwood, IL on Arsenal Road

Elwood, IL -- A crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck in the area of Elwood, IL took the life of one person and left two injured around 5:25 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017.

The incident took place at Arsenal Road.

According to the report, a westbound Pontiac was traveling along Arsenal when for reasons unclear it lost control. The vehicle then careened into the path of a Freightliner semi. One person, the 32-year-old driver of the Pontiac, was killed at the scene of the incident. A passenger in the Pontiac was seriously injured in the incident. The driver of the semi was left with minor injuries.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
