One Killed in Accident on Interstate 90 in Martin Co., MN

Martin County, MN -- A multi-vehicle collision in the area of Martin County, MN took the life of one person Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 90 around 7:50 p.m.

At the time of the report, it appeared a Honda CRV headed west in the eastbound lanes collided with a Ford Escape. Within moments, a semi-truck, attempting to avoid the collision, pulled onto the shoulder. Subsequently, a second semi sideswiped the Honda, and collided with the first semi. According to the report, both big rigs came to rest in a ditch.

One person was killed, though the report wasn't clear in which vehicle the victim was occupying.

The exact cause of the incident has not been determined at the time of the report.
