Brett Baker Killed in Texarkana, AR, Car Accident

Texarkana, AR -- March 7, 2017, Brett Baker suffered fatal injuries following an accident in which his vehicle crashed in highway traffic.

The Arkansas State Police were called to investigate the accident at around 3:41 p.m. near the I-30 and I-49 interchange.

According to the preliminary accident summary, 28-year-old Baker was traveling eastbound on I-30. As he approached a line of traffic, which was backed up due to an earlier crash, he somehow failed to avoid the vehicle in front of him. This resulted in a rear-end collision.

As a result of the crash, Baker suffered fatal injuries, and medical responders pronounced him dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

At this time, authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident. No additional details have been released.
