Two Injured in Austin, TX, Car Accident at Burnet and Rutland

Austin, TX -- March 7, 2017, two women sustained injuries due to an accident where their vehicles crashed at Burnet Road and Rutland Drive.

Authorities from Austin-Travis County emergency crews reported that the incident happened at around 6:00 a.m. Their preliminary accident reports have not specified the exact details of the collision.

Somehow, two different women, each said to be in their 30s, were traveling through the intersection. Their paths somehow crossed, and a collision occurred.

The crash was severe enough that one of the woman suffered critical injuries. She was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge for treatment. The other driver had non-critical injuries and was also taken to a hospital.

The exact cause of the accident was not specified, and it's unclear what contributing factors were involved. Investigations are ongoing.
