Rhett Runyan Killed in Desha County, AR, Single-Vehicle Accident

Desha County, AR -- March 7, 2017, Rhett Runyan was killed due to an accident in which he fell from a moving vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

A report released by the Arkansas State Police indicates that the incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 208 and Highway 35.

According to the preliminary report, 21-year-old Runyan was with another person who was driving a 2013 Mercedes westbound on Highway 208. Police claim that Runyan was riding on top of the vehicle's hood at the time, when something caused him to fall off. When he hit the ground, he somehow sustained fatal injuries.

The report say that Runyan died at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported.

At this time, authorities have not released any additional details. Their investigations are ongoing.
