Man Killed in Accident on Highway 2 in Grand Forks, ND

Grand Forks, ND -- A single-vehicle collision in the area of Grand Forks, ND left one person dead Monday, March 6, 2017.

The incident took place on Highway 2 around 9:30 a.m.

According to the reports, the victim was driving along Highway 2 eastbound. For reasons unclear, the man's vehicle struck a bridge near Kelly's Slough, crashing into a creek. At the time of the report, authorities had yet to determine the exact cause of the incident. The victim's identity has not been revealed.

The official investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.

The preliminary press release provided no further information regarding the crash.
