2 Injured in San Antonio, TX, Hit-and-run Accident on Roland Ave

San Antonio, TX -- March 5, 2017, two pedestrians were injured as the result of an accident where they were hit by a car on Roland Avenue.

Authorities from the San Antonio Police Department were called out to the accident scene at around 4:00 a.m.

Their preliminary accident investigations indicate that two people, a man and a woman, were walking along Roland Avenue at the time. As they did so, a vehicle somehow failed to avoid them, and it collided into the pair of pedestrians. They were thrown onto the roadway, and the vehicle fled the scene.

Following the accident, medical response teams came to the scene. Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. The male was said to have serious injuries.

Authorities have not offered any description for the suspect driver at this time. They say investigations are currently ongoing.
