Elvira Klug Killed in Sheboygan Falls, WI, Head-on Car Accident

Sheboygan Falls, WI -- March 1, 2017, Elvira Klug suffered fatal injuries following an accident in which her vehicle crashed crashed with another car.

Investigators from the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department responded to the two-vehicle accident scene Wednesday morning. Roadways were said to be hazardous due to heavy snowfall.

According to preliminary reports, 85-year-old Klug was traveling northbound on Highway 32 when her vehicle suddenly lost control. The vehicle veered left into oncoming traffic where it entered the path of southbound car driven by a 70-year-old woman. The two cars crashed head-on.

Emergency medical teams came to the scene, and Klug was taken to a nearby hospital. She later died there. It's unclear if the other woman was hurt.

Authorities at this time have not released any additional details surrounding the crash.
