Pedestrian Injured in Waco, TX, Accident on Campus Drive

Waco, TX -- March 2, 2017, a person was injured as the result of an accident in which they were hit by a vehicle along Campus Drive.

The Waco Police Department responded to the scene at around 9:25 a.m. near the intersection of Campus Drive and Scott Circle.

According to the preliminary police reports, a pedestrian was walking in the area and attempted to cross Campus Drive. As the person did so, the driver of a Mazda failed to see the pedestrian and struck them in the roadway. The driver told authorities that glare from the sun blocked her vision.

Following the crash, the pedestrian was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It's unclear if any citations were given. No additional details are available.
