David C. Yanacheak Killed in Accident in Burlington, VT

Burlington, VT -- 73-year-old David C. Yanacheak was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the area of Burlington, VT Saturday, February 25, 2017.

It appears the pickup truck occupied by the victim was traveling along Tarbox Hill Road around 3:44 p.m. For reasons unclear, the pickup careened off the road, went into a drainage ditch, crashing head-on into a cement culvert. It appears Mr. Yanacheak was the lone occupant in the vehicle.

Mr. Yanacheak was taken to North County Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries en route to a second hospital.

The early media report provided no further information at the time of its release.

Officials are investigating the scene of the incident to determine a cause.
