Man Hurt in Construction Accident at 505 Church Street in Nashville, TN

Nashville, TN -- A work incident in the area of Nashville, TN left one person with injuries around 5:35 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017.

The incident took place at 505 Church Street.

At the time of the report, it appeared a crane fell on a man working on the 36th floor. As it turned out, it was a heavy pulley that dropped from the crane, striking the man. The injured victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries. The report claims the man will survive his injuries.

Local officials are investigating the incident at this time.

It is unclear what caused the pulley to fall.
