One Dead, Five Hurt in Accident on Talbot Avenue in Boston, MA

Boston, MA -- One person was killed, five hurt in a collision between a stolen minivan and an MBTA bus around 9:50 a.m. in the area of Boston, MA Saturday, February 25, 2017.

The incident took place on Talbot Avenue close to Lithgow Street.

It is alleged a man stole a minivan around 7 a.m. in the Germantown neighborhood in Quincy. For reasons unclear, the minivan and the bus collided less than three hours later. The driver of the stolen vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was declared dead a short time later.

The driver of the bus and four passengers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing.
