Matthew Douglass Killed in Warren, MI, Lift Accident

Warren, MI -- October 21, 2016, Matthew Douglass suffered fatal injuries as the result of an accident where he fell from an aerial lift.

According to a released OSHA report, 38-year-old Douglass was working for De-Cal, Inc., which specializes in Mechanical Contractor work. It is based out of Detroit.

The report indicates that Douglass was working with a boom aerial lift. He was on the ground. As the lift was backing up, it somehow backed over him, and he sustained fatal injuries. EMS transported him to a hospital, and he passed away due to his injuries on October 26.

The exact cause of the accident has not been given. It's unclear exactly what OSHA's investigations revealed. No further information is currently available.
