Child Injured in Texarkana, TX, Car Accident on State Line Ave.

Texarkana, TX -- March 1, 2017, a child was injured as the result of an accident in which she was ejected during a car crash on State Line Avenue.

Police and medical personnel were called out to the scene of a two-vehicle accident in the afternoon hours of Wednesday.

According to preliminary accident reports, a Jeep was traveling along State Line Avenue with a 6-year-old girl riding as a passenger. The vehicle somehow crossed paths with a white car also on State Line.

The collision caused the girl to be ejected from the back of the Jeep and thrown onto the roadway. She sustained non-critical injuries as a result, and EMS responders transported her to Wadley Hospital for treatment.

Authorities claim that the girl and multiple other children in the jeep were not properly restrained at the time of the accident. It's unclear if citations or charges were issued.
