Tranisha King Killed, Victor Martinez, Kevin Dickens & Six Others Injured in Accident in Grosse Tete, LA

Gross Tete, LA -- An alleged alcohol related crash in the area of Grosse Tete, LA took the life of 34-year-old Tranisha King, and left Victor Martinez, Kevin Dickens and six others with injuries.

The incident took place on Interstate 10 around 7 a.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017.

It looks like the vehicle occupied by Ms. King and driven by Mr. Dickens were traveling along 10 when the vehicle attempted to pass another car. The first vehicle struck the second vehicle, killing Ms. King at the scene of the incident.

Mr. Martinez, the driver of the second vehicle, was injured in the incident. All six of the passengers in the second vehicle were hospitalized with various injuries.

The exact cause of the incident had not been disclosed, but police say they believe alcohol was a factor.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing.
