Samuel Kirwan Killed in Bensalem, PA, Construction Accident

Bensalem, PA -- October 11, 2016, Samuel Kirwan was killed as the result of an accident in which a wall collapsed on him at a construction site.

Investigations were done into the fatal accident which occurred in the Bensalem area as Kirwan was doing work. He reportedly worked for Hyland Filter Service, which is based out of Owensboro, KY.

According to preliminary accident reports, while Kirwan was working near a free-standing masonry wall, the wall somehow became unstable. The structure collapsed and fell on top of Kirwan, inflicting critical injuries.

Kirward was taken to a local ICU for treatment, but he eventually succumbed to his injuries. It would appear no one else was injured in the accident.

OSHA investigators did not indicate what factors caused the accident to occur. Their investigations are ongoing.
