Man Injured in Texarkana, AR, Motorcycle Accident on McDonald

Texarkana, AR -- February 28, 2017, a man suffered injuries resulting from an accident in which the motorcycle he was driving crashed on McDonald Lane.

Texarkana Police and Fire responders were called to the accident scene in the afternoon hours of Tuesday. It happened on McDonald Lane just north of I-30.

According to preliminary police reports, the man, whose identity was not released, was driving a motorcycle that he had recently repaired. As he did so, the vehicle somehow lost control and crashed. The rider was ejected onto the roadway, and the motorcycle caught fire.

Emergency services were able to transport the rider form the scene in stable condition, and fire crews quickly contained the fire.

Authorities confirmed the man was wearing a helmet at the time. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
