William Harris Killed in Lee County, AR, Single-Vehicle Accident

Lee County, AR -- February 26, 2017, William Harris Jr. was killed after an accident where his vehicle rolled over off the highway.

The Arkansas State Police released a preliminary accident report concerning the fatal crash. They say it occurred around 7:20 a.m. along State Highway 78.

The report indicates that 71-year-old Harris was driving a Ford F-150 pickup northbound along Highway 78. For reasons unclear, the vehicle lost control and veered off the side of the highway. The pickup then overturned, eventually landing on its roof and coming to a stop.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officials. No other people were reported to be involved in an accident.

State Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
