3 Injured in Noonday, TX, Motorcycle Accident on TX-155

Noonday, TX -- February 27, 2017, three people were injured as the result of an accident where a car rear-ended a motorcycle on State Highway 155.

The accident was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. They say it happened near the intersection of Frankston Highway (TX-155) and Tompkins Lane.

According to police investigators, a man and a woman were riding on a motorcycle southbound on TX-155 when they slowed to take a turn into a Dollar General. Behind them, a Nissan Altima failed to slow down and ran into the back of the motorcycle.

Due to the collision, the man and the woman were seriously injured. They were taken to East Texas Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital.

Police say that a citation is going to be filed, though they didn't specify. No additional information is currently available.
