Joyce Glaze Killed in Joaquin, TX, Car Accident

Joaquin, TX -- February 25, 2017, Joyce Glaze was killed due to an accident where her car and a pickup crashed on the highway.

Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety were called to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Highway 7 and FM 139.

According to their investigations, 65-year-old Glaze was driving a Chrysler along FM 139 and approached the intersection of Highway 7. She turned onto the highway, and her vehicle crossed paths with an oncoming Ford pickup that was traveling eastbound. The two vehicles crashed at the intersection.

As a result of the collision, Glaze suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Authorities did not say what factors may have contributed to the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
