2 Injured in Pflugerville, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident on TX-45

Pflugerville, TX -- February 24, 2017, two people sustained serious injuries following an accident in which their vehicle crashed off of Highway 45.

Authorities from Austin-Travis County emergency crews reported that the incident occurred in the afternoon close to the intersection of State Highway 45 and East Pflugerville Parkway.

Investigators reported that a man wand a woman were traveling down the highway when their vehicle somehow lost control and veered out of their lane. Reports say the vehicle then crashed into a "fixed object" and came to a stop.

As a result of the collision, the woman was transported from the scene in critical condition. The man also had serious but non-critical injuries.

At this time, there is no word on what factors may have caused the accident. Authorities continue their investigations.
