William Scott Stockton Killed in Accident in Marion, NC

Marion, NC -- An ATV incident in the area of Marion, NC took the life of 46-year-old William Scott Stockton Friday, February 17, 2017.

The incident took place at 143 EP Boyd Drive around 12:11 p.m.

According to the reports, the victim and two others were in the woods, cutting down trees. The two others attached one of the logs to the victim's ATV, but became concerned when Mr. Stockton did not return. Upon searching for the victim, the two located him beneath the wrecked vehicle. Mr. Stockton was killed at the scene of the incident.

The exact cause of Mr. Stockton's death had not been determined at the time of the report.

Officials are currently examining the details of the deadly incident.

There was no further information regarding the incident at this time.
