Lynn Alexander Killed in Train Accident in Detroit Lakes, MN

Detroit Lakes MN -- A collision between a pedestrian and a train claimed the life of 56-year-old Lynn Alexander in the area of Detroit Lakes, MN Saturday, February 18, 2017.

The incident took place at Washington Avenue & U.S. Highway 10 about 9 p.m.

The details of the incident are unclear, but the report claims a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train was involved. At the time of the report, it appeared the woman was struck by the train. The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The official investigation into the incident that left Ms. Alexander dead is currently underway.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
