6-Year-Old Killed, Six Hurt in Accident at Vital Smiles in Midfield, AL

Midfield, AL -- An unidentified 6-year-old boy was killed, and 6 people were injured due to a vehicle crashing into a dentist's office in Midfield, AL Thursday, February 23, 2017.

The incident took place at the Vital Smiles dental office in Midfield, AL around 9:30 a.m.

According to the reports, an SUV crashed through the a window. The collision left a 6-year-old boy pinned beneath the crashed vehicle. At the time of the report, it appeared the driver was struggling with the gearshift prior to the incident.

The crash left the 6-year-old boy dead, and injured six others.

The exact cause of the crash had not been determined at the time of the incident.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more information at its release.
