Tre Ertl Critically Injured in Train Accident near 4th Street in Waverly, MN

Waverly, MN -- A collision between a train and a pedestrian left 18-year-old Tre Ertl with injuries in the area of Waverly, MN Monday, February 20, 2017.

The incident took place near 4th Street around 7:30 p.m.

The details of the report are unclear, but it appears the victim was found on the north side of the tracks near the east side of the city. Mr. Ertl was taken to a local hospital, and was last listed in critical condition.

Officials say a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train was headed east when the victim was struck.

Authorities are currently examining the details of the incident.
